Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat…and our bank accounts are getting pillaged. It’s no secret that Christmas is one of the most expensive times of the year, especially for gift-giving, buying food, and general cheer. And, if you’re anything like us, we love to give chocolate as gifts.
The prices can add up, so we’re here to help. As chocolate is a big part of the festive season, we'll lay out the top Christmas chocolate gifts for every budget. Fear not, you can still gift delicious chocolate while your credit card remains in one piece.
1. Budget-Friendly Christmas Chocolate Gifts (Under £10)
Great as stocking stuffers or as small gifts of love, these budget-friendly Christmas chocolates will be a hit, no matter the price.
Lindt Festive Chocolates — £3 - £6
Beloved Swiss chocolatiers Lindt have a wide range of affordable chocolate gifts, all made with their delicious milk chocolate. There are many different festive shapes to choose from, including Santa Claus (£3.50), reindeer (£3.50) and an assortment of teddy bears (£3/£6). Each comes beautifully wrapped with a signature golden bell as an accessory.
Cadbury Selection boxes — £1.50 - £8
A staple of many Christmases as a child, and perhaps the best small gift of all, a selection box of Cadbury’s favourite bars to keep the energy high while opening gifts, between slices of turkey and ham or party games. There are different types to choose from, including the classic stocking (£3.50) coming with Crunchie, Dairy Milk and Wispa, to the 200th Anniversary box (£8), including blasts from the past such as Top Deck and Caramel from 1998.
Kernow Chocolate Bars — £4.25
Looking for a unique chocolate bar sure to go down a treat, Kernow’s range of delicious bars is full of unique flavours, but at a reasonable price, £4.25. They’ve got a huge selection, so no matter your little one’s favourite flavour, they’re sure to have something to match!
Chocolate Santa and Gold Coins — 89p - £3.50
Classic chocolates, these work as small trinkets given alongside other gifts. They tie back to the history of Saint Nicholas and the gifting of coins to poor children but are also the perfect bite of chocolate between opening gifts.
Terry’s Chocolate Orange — £1.50
A beloved Christmas treat, all chocolate and orange lovers unite. The perfect sharing chocolate, thanks to the split segments of the spherical chocolate, or you could save them all for yourself. We don’t judge. This year, controversially, Terry’s released an orange-less chocolate orange, which has divided the population. However, Christmas is a time of peace, so we’ll put our opinions behind us until December 26th. Plus, they’ve already got a mint-flavoured one. Why are we complaining? More chocolates = more options!
Chocolate Society Chocolate — £5
Another unique chocolate to gift is anything from Chocolate Society’s spread of bars. Many of their bars have a festive flavour attached to them, such as Ginger Biscuit, Cinnamon Toast and Peppermint Swirl, so there’s sure to be something for everyone. Plus, they’re beautiful little gifts anybody can adore.
