Trick or Treats: Top 7 Halloween Candy Flavours in Chocolate

Oct 31, 2025Colin Rice

Halloween is known for its sweets and treats. Every year, people descend onto the streets of their neighbourhoods to collect and gather treats for nearby. Many of these sweets are iconic, and Halloween without them wouldn't be Halloween at all. We're not here to take those away from you, but we have the perfect partner pieces to each of these common treats. Here are the top 7 Halloween candy flavours in chocolate.

1. Snickers — Gnaw Peanut Butter

`

Kicking things off with a bang, or maybe that’s just the fireworks? Snickers is many people’s favourite Halloween chocolate, even if they come in small bars. Looking for an elevated Snickers bar, try Gnaw’s Peanut Butter milk chocolate bar. Smooth, creamy and full of punchy peanut flavour, this bar gives the classic Snickers a run for its money, and is equally sweet.

2. Sour Sweets — Chocolate Tree 100% Cacao Fruit

Seemingly a rogue choice, but sour sweets, like Haribo Tangfastics (always in the Halloween monstrous spirit), are adored all year long, but especially at Halloween time. Some people love melting their tongue with the most sour sweets they can find. If this sounds like you, you need to give Chocolate Tree’s 100% dark chocolate Cacao Fruit chocolate bar a taste.

Yes, much less sweet than sour sweets, but heavy on the sour. The bar uses the fruit juice from cacao pods to sweeten the bar and enhance the flavour, but it’s lip-puckeringly sour and tangy as a sidenote.

3. Mars — Marou Cà Phê Sữa

Many may think it strange to compare the classic Mars with coffee. And while Mars are excellent at what they do, pairing caramel with chocolate and fondant to create a texture masterpiece, these flavour combination is robust and complex like coffee. We can’t recommend Marou’s Ca Phe Sua dark chocolate bar enough.

Made in the style of Vietnamese ca phe sua, using condensed milk flavours for a creamy and sweet coffee experience, this bar is robust with a deep coffee flavour, but the creaminess and caramel notes of condensed milk come across through the rest of the ingredients.

4. Werther’s Originals — Montezuma Splotch

No longer mocked or relegated to a grandparent’s home or a car’s dashboard pocket, butterscotch Werther’s Originals are delicious, and we stand by this statement. Though very hard, the flavour is what makes them stand out.

Toffee-ish and caramel-y, a bar emulating the same flavours is Montezuma’s Splotch. This milk chocolate bar is sprinkled with chewy butterscotch pieces to add another level of sweetness that pairs well with the delicious chocolate Monetzuma is known for.

5. Jellies and Gummies — Kernow Eton Mess

Jellies and gummies come in all shapes and sizes, especially during the Halloween season, with pumpkin shapes and more, and white chocolate can’t emulate the gummy, pure sweetness of a gummy; it can pair perfectly and even enhance gummy textures.

That’s where Kernow’s Eton Mess white chocolate bar comes in. Featuring smooth, sweet white chocolate with chewy strawberry pieces, the texture bonanza is sure to appeal to all those with a penchant for chomping.

6. Fruit Salad — Arthouse Rhubarb and Custard

Another chewy sweet on the list, these yellow and pink sweets were a beloved part of our childhoods. What flavour are they? Somewhat tropical, somewhat yellow and pink. Who really knows, but they are delicious.

You may think it impossible for a chocolate bar to mimic the flavour, and while not a perfect comparison, Arthouse Unlimited Rhubarb and Custard white chocolate bar cuts close. Delicious and sweet, the bar is the same colours as the sweets, so it’s like they were meant to be.

7. Parma Violets — Violet Milk

Love them or hate them, these chalky sweets come in a roll and go hand-in-hand with the Halloween season. Full of punchy floral flavour, these sweets smell like perfume and taste like it too. Ocelto have taken the inspiration and created a dark-milk chocolate bar that uses the same violet flavours but pairs it with a chocolate that mellows it out so it isn’t quite as intense. Plus, the texture is by far superior! A real Halloween treat.
