Willie's Cacao

Willie's Cacao was founded by Willie Harcourt-Cooze who after years of living in South America, bought a cacao farm in Venezuela in 1996. After returning to the UK with his family, he set up his chocolate factory in Devon. He is passionate about, single-origin chocolate and rare cacao varieties, personally travelling the world to discover unique cacao beans and carefully selecting those with exceptional flavors and aromas.

The chocolate-making process at Willie's Cacao is a labor of love. With a focus on minimal ingredients and traditional techniques, they allow the natural flavors of the cacao beans to shine through. Willie personally oversees every step, from roasting and grinding the beans to tempering the chocolate, ensuring the highest quality and attention to detail. It’s a brand that epitomizes the artistry and passion of fine chocolate.

The result is truly distinctive, single-origin chocolate bars from the smokey Indonesian to fruity Madagascan to the nutty notes of Peruvian dark chocolate.

There are some great “dark milk” chocolates too with the 54% Milk of the Stars and the 44% Milk Chocolate with Sea Salt Flakes both deliciously creamy yet very chocolatey treats! Willie also delves into flavoured chocolate with the delicious Raspberries and Cream and strange but good Matcha “white” chocolates!

Willies focus on pure ingredients has also led him to create a fabulous range of 100% bars with nuts and dried fruits - bringing a natural sweetness and making 100% cacao, sugar-free bars more approachable. The Raisin and Hazelnut is a particularly moreish bar!
