Although quite a lot of cacao, chocolate mass/liquor or chocolate couverture is itself organic, many bars contain other non-organic products making the end product non-organic. Here are some chocolate makers that go the extra mile to ensure that every single ingredient is organic.
Conscious is a raw chocolate company offering a range of organic, vegan, gluten and plastic-free bars. Their scrumptious Orange and Tangerine is the most popular with visitors.
Pacari is an Ecuadorian tree-to-bar chocolate maker committed to biodynamics and sustainable agriculture. They make a wide range of dark chocolate bars with
a range of flavours that are vegan, organic and GMO-free.
Some of Montezuma’s bars are organic including their Great White Creamy Vanilla, Hot Pickle Milk Chocolate with Chilli and Lime and Splotch, a 51% Milk Chocolate with Butterscotch.
Seed & Bean were one of the earliest small chocolate makers that were committed to 100% organic ingredients.
